At Root to Fruit, we’re a small but passionate team who care deeply about the food we make and the people we serve. We cook every meal from scratch using seasonal, plant-based ingredients from local farms and partners who share our values. We treat our team like family and show up for our customers with the same care.

From our kitchen at 5401 Tacony Street in Philadelphia, we deliver within a 30-mile radius—serving our neighbors across Philly, New Jersey, and Delaware. Every meal is made with intention, because we believe nourishing food can bring people together and make a difference—one plate at a time.

Meet Chef Josh

Josh graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Food Management and a focus on sustainability. With over a decade of experience in restaurants, catering, and meal delivery—including time at Feast Your Eyes, Birch Tree, and as a Senior Sous Chef at Home Appétit—he’s cooked for thousands. But 5 years ago, everything changed: he went vegan.

That shift sparked the idea for Root to Fruit—a service built on bold flavors, local ingredients, and a belief that eating well shouldn't harm the planet. Today, Josh and his team prepare every meal from scratch in their Philadelphia kitchen, with care you can taste.
